The present document is a technical report for release 18 basket WI High power UE (power class 1.5 or 2) for intra-band Carrier Aggregation combinations of a single NR FR1 TDD band.

4  Backgroundp. 6

At 3GPP RAN#97-e meeting, a basket Work Item on "High power UE (power class 1.5 or 2) for intra-band Carrier Aggregation combinations of a single NR FR1 TDD band" [2] was approved for Rel-18. The objectives of the core part are as follows:
This WI will address the following intra-band Carrier Aggregation cases of a single NR FR1 TDD band:
  • with PC2 for UL intra-band CA configuration
  • with PC2 for single uplink carrier
  • with PC1.5 for single uplink carrier
  • with the following objectives:
    1. Specify the band-combination specific RF requirements including
      1. UE maximum output power and Tx power tolerance
      2. A-MPR requirements if needed
    2. Define requirements for PC1.5 according to following conditions
      1. Include intra-band DL CA band combinations with PC1.5 on the single carrier uplink in supporting of 2x26dBm PA configuration.
