1  Scopep. 6

The present specification provides the stage 3 definition of the Session Management Event Exposure Service (Nsmf_EventExposure) of the 5G System.
The stage 2 definition and procedures of the Session Management Event Exposure Service are contained in TS 23.502 and TS 23.503. The 5G System Architecture is defined in TS 23.501.
Stage 3 call flows for policy and charging control use cases are provided in TS 29.513.
The Technical Realization of the Service Based Architecture and the Principles and Guidelines for Services Definition of the 5G System are specified in TS 29.500 and TS 29.501.
The Session Management Event Exposure Service is provided by the Session Management Function (SMF). This service exposes events related to PDU Sessions observed at the SMF.

2  Referencesp. 6

The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of the present document.
  • References are either specific (identified by date of publication, edition number, version number, etc.) or non-specific.
  • For a specific reference, subsequent revisions do not apply.
  • For a non-specific reference, the latest version applies. In the case of a reference to a 3GPP document (including a GSM document), a non-specific reference implicitly refers to the latest version of that document in the same Release as the present document.
