The present document is a technical report which identifies the SA1 requirements and the potential vertical requirements for location services and proposes the application architecture requirements, key issues, and solutions to address the enhanced location capabilities based on the current vertical application enabler (e.g. SEAL). The study takes into consideration the existing SEAL architecture specified in TS 23.434, the Core Network exposure specified in TS 23.501 and TS 23.502, the 5GS location services as defined in TS 23.273, etc. to investigate how to support the enhanced location services in application layer. Furthermore, the study also provides recommendations for the normative work.
